New Beginnings
New beginnings are everywhere!
The ground is soft to my step in the Dunes Labyrinth early in the morning…the deer have visited…the raccoons..and even the turkeys (sometimes they even fly in!). These days a little fellow (our new dog – 12 week old boxer/lab mix “Step”) steps right up…curious about everything…hardly understands the reason for staying on any path!
I feel myself expanding once again…into something new (who would have thought! AND I’m loving every minute)…not just puppydom…something new is in the air…I can feel it…something is shifting again. I think I actually knew it when I started growing my hair. Well…my hairdresser DID have two hip replacements and was gone for a while…which led to a new choice…hmmm…I think I like my hair long for a change.
Funny how such little things can shift a person’s whole perspective. Step, of course, has grounded me in ways I didn’t see coming…you know…the mindfulness of being aware of the need to piss and poop…such mundane and ordinary tasks take on a major role…and…I have to pay attention…I have to be aware! What a concept…awareness of almost every step I take..everything I do. The flow actually is lovely…this flow of living in the moment…and…a new understanding of nothing else matters…I’m just choosing every 10 seconds…literally. Can’t really remember the last time I ever did this.
So grateful for my new Step companion with me in my Labyrinth of Life.
